Hartsdale is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Hartsdale follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Tofu soup was great, definitely get crispy rice in the hot stone bowls. Banchan was a little lacking in variety as well as amount, they did not refill them either which was strange since we were 4 diners but even tables with fewer diners all get the same banchan. Beef shortribs were a hit with our table. They also did not refill our water. We were a bit meh on the bibimbap, which came on a stone plate instead of a bowl, which made mixing and eating the crispy rice harder. Busy and popular place on a weekend, but we were able to get a seat after a few mins of waiting.

SGD is a chain restaurant with no frills Korean food and a limited menu. It's authentic Korean, but can be inconsistent. I have had perfect kalbi (beef short ribs) here, but on other visits it was tough and chewy. The bulgogi stew was too heavily seasoned to be a soup dish. You really have to eat it with rice. Bibimbap was fine, tasty, but some vegetables are undercooked. Portions are hearty, but you would expect it for the price. The banchan (side dishes) are delicious - the kimchi is aged perfectly, cucumbers have just the right amount of chili and sweetness to balance it out. I highly recommend the soondubu jigae, it's their signature dish. Waiters speak fluent Korean and enough English for a non-Korean speaker to enjoy dining here comfortably. Service is efficient, but they don't check on you. No refills unless you ask. Staff are polite, but not friendly. Location is a busy strip mall plaza, so it is reflected in the fast paced dining experience. Overall it's a solid choice for Korean food in the Westchester area, but standards aren't as high as Korean restaurants in northern NJ or Queens, NY.

Authetic Korean hot tofu stew place. Good prices and you get plenty of side dishes. Highly recommend for those craving hot tofu stew on cold winter days.

My family and I love it here and they're picky eaters. The food is so good. Hot, fresh, well seasoned. I always wonder how they manage to get it out so fast. But they told me I can't take home my leftover side dishes????

As authentic as it gets, the restaurant was bustling and continues to be full on Sunday afternoon. Food was amazing and big portion. The restaurant was clean and food came out quick. Only downside is service lacked a bit as we were never attended and had to constantly asked for service. We also got takeout and it was packed weirdly with bigger items on top and food splashed out of the box by the time we walked out the restaurant and had to walk back for repack. But overall will come back because of how good the food was.
